The first couple of days after I come to live with you I will look at you with my big sad eyes because I will be missing my fantastic foster family and foster brother.
But, that is really just a ploy to get you to love me because after about day 4-5 days you will start to see the real me!!!! I don't like to share my family's love with any other dog but will tolerate younger submissive males who will let me get my own way. (Pssst.....I can be a little bossy!) I would like to spend as much time as possible with you and when you are home, would rather be near you. Before too long, (once I am settled) you may start to lose things. I would like to feel close to you while you are away or at work, and your dirty socks are the best comfort toy I can find. I like to play in the mornings and the evenings, and socks make the best toys to toss around, don't you think?! I am really clever. I have taught my foster mother to feed me when I sit, tilt my head to the side and look at her imploringly. How smart is that?!?!?!? I love long walks and can go for about an hour at a brisk pace. Because I am a princess I have perfect manners on the lead and will walk beside you beautifully, but do keep a couple of bags because I will have a couple of "comfort stops" along the way. But please don't think I am all energy, I have been known to sleep for hours and not move a muscle. A girl needs her beauty sleep you know! So, when can I play at your house?
